App functions

You can find our app here:
cFos Charging Manager App for Android
cFos Charging Manager App for iOS
cFos Charging Manager App for Windows

The app has the following functions:

registering the cFos Power Brain Wallbox in the WLAN

The app finds the current WLAN in which your mobile phone is registered (permission is required for it to access the geolocation of your mobile phone). After you have entered the WLAN password, the app attempts to register the EVSE (via IP broadcasts) in this WLAN.
Open the menu and click on "Connect to WLAN". Your PC must be connected to your router via WLAN. Enter the WLAN password in the "Password" field. The receiver device ID will be used later. Switch on all cFos Power Brain Wallboxs that you want to connect to the WLAN.
If you now click on "Send SSID and password", your EVSE password will be sent to all EVSEs that then connect to the WLAN (unless they are already connected to a WLAN).

Note: The WLAN password is encrypted using a general key. Theoretically, it is conceivable that someone knows this general key and can eavesdrop on your WLAN to determine the WLAN password. If you have security concerns about this, it is better to configure the cFos Power Brain Controller manually by logging onto its access point. At a later time, you can optionally enter a "receiver device ID" so that the password is encrypted with this in a tap-proof manner. The disadvantage, however, is that you can then only register one cFos Power Brain Controller per run in your WLAN.

Find devices on the LAN

After your devices are logged into the network, the app can find them. Then you can assign a role (master or slave) to each device and have the EVSE and meter set up.

To do this, enter the admin password of the units (default on delivery is a blank password). Click on "Find devices". All devices registered in the home network appear. For each device, select whether it is to be master, slave or ignored. For all EVSEs, you can now tick whether the internal EVSE and S0 meters 1 and 2 are to be used.

Then you should choose a new password for all devices. This can be used as the Admin password and also as the password for the Access Points of the cFos Power Brain Wallboxs.

If you select the option "Add to Installations", the current master/slave installation will be added as an installation in the Charging Manager App and you can easily select the user interface in the menu later.

Manage EVSEs and installations

Here you can manually add the IP address of EVSE or Charging Manager systems, set the Admin password or a PIN, and set notification options. The respective user interface then appears in the systems and you can manage them as usual.

You can currently manage the facilities as long as your mobile phone is connected to the network where the facility is located. We are currently working on cloud support, so that in the future you will be able to manage your system on the move. If you do not want to wait for this, you can set up a dynamic IP address and configure port forwarding in your router. Then enter the domain of your dynamic IP address as the IP address and you can already operate the system from the road. The cFos software website has an extensive collection of instructions on how to set up port forwarding with a variety of devices.

Android and iOS: If you enter a valid PIN for the user, notification options are available for various events. To receive notifications (also) as an administrator, activate the "Admin" option, enter the administrator password and set the desired notification options.

Push messages

Android and iOS: With the app, you can receive push messages from the cFos Charging Manager and the cFos Power Brain Wallbox. The app saves the last 200 notifications in a separate page. You can, for example, be informed of the start of charging via a push message and authorise the charging process using a previously defined PIN, if necessary.

Note: The app runs from cFos Charging Manager and cFos Power Brain Controller firmware version 1.8.
